Whistleblower Policy

At Southern California Ballet (SCB), integrity, trust, and accountability are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards and expect honesty and transparency from everyone in our community — including employees, faculty, students, parents, volunteers, and partners.

Our Commitment

SCB encourages anyone who becomes aware of unethical, illegal, or improper conduct within the organization to speak up without fear of retaliation. We take all reports seriously and will address them promptly, fairly, and confidentially.

You are protected under this policy when you report, in good faith, any concerns related to:

  • Fraud, financial impropriety, or misuse of organizational resources

  • Violations of law or regulations

  • Discrimination, harassment, or unsafe practices

  • Conflicts of interest or abuse of authority

  • Any conduct that goes against SCB’s values, mission, or ethical standards

Confidentiality and Non-Retaliation

SCB will protect the confidentiality of all individuals who report concerns in good faith.
Retaliation against anyone who raises a concern or participates in an investigation is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action.

Reporting a concern in good faith means you have a reasonable belief that the information you are sharing is true — even if it turns out to be mistaken.

Our Promise

Southern California Ballet values transparency, honesty, and respect.
By creating a safe space for open communication, we ensure that our organization remains a trusted place for dancers, families, and the community to learn, create, and grow.
